Company Description Insquare Designs is an end-to-end architecture and interior design studio founded in 2016 by partners Ar. Role Description The Interior Design Intern will support the design team in a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards, developing material and furniture palettes, and supporting FF&E selection and documentation. The intern will help create drawings and presentations, update design files, and coordinate with vendors and contractors under guidance from senior designers. The role also involves site visits for measurements and progress checks, participation in design reviews, and clear communication with internal teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated from concept to execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
- Knowledge of Furniture and FF&E (fixtures, finishes, and equipment), including selection, specification, and coordination.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with design teams, vendors, and clients in a professional manner.
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and basic skills in presentation software.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow design guidelines, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and manage multiple tasks with time management and organizational skills.
