Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design and execution of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, brand standards, and project timelines. This full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad involves developing design concepts, space planning, material and finish selections, and creating detailed drawings and presentations. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with clients, project managers, vendors, and contractors to coordinate deliverables, supervise site execution, and maintain design quality. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, guiding junior designers, conducting site visits, resolving design and technical issues, and ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules. The role also involves staying updated on design trends, sustainable practices, and industry standards to support Homedge’s commitment to innovative and impactful interiors.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong interior design skills, including concept development, space planning, and detailed design documentation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DS Max, or similar software, along with MS Office for project coordination.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture design, and sustainable design practices relevant to residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
- Candidates should possess project management capabilities, including budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and on-site supervision.
- Candidates should possess effective client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess leadership skills to mentor junior designers, manage design teams, and uphold quality and consistency across projects.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, along with several years of proven experience in interior design, are highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with local building codes, construction processes, and fit-out practices in Ahmedabad or similar markets will be an added advantage.
