Role Description The HVAC Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The role involves performing installation, commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductable split units, packaged units, fan coil units, and chillers. The HVAC Service Engineer will diagnose technical issues, replace or repair components, calibrate controls, and ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and relevant regulations. Daily activities include preparing service reports, coordinating with project and operations teams, supporting retrofit and revamping projects, and interacting with clients to address service needs and provide technical guidance. The role also requires adherence to EHS practices, participation in continuous improvement initiatives, and occasional travel to customer sites as required.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in HVAC systems, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AHUs, ductable splits, packaged units, fan coil units, and chillers.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of MEP services related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with familiarity in fire fighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems considered an advantage.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, equipment manuals, and schematic diagrams, and in using diagnostic tools and instruments for performance analysis.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in preventive maintenance planning, service documentation, and basic understanding of ISO quality processes and EHS requirements.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact professionally with clients.
