Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role based in Chennai. The technician will install, inspect, and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a variety of building types. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, conducting routine and preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals, coordinating with team members and supervisors, and maintaining accurate service reports. The technician will also interact with customers on-site, explain findings and recommendations, and follow all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Plumbing skills to install, connect, and maintain piping and drainage components related to HVAC systems.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to perform scheduled inspections, cleaning, and adjustments that extend equipment life.
- Candidates should possess Electricity knowledge to work safely with motors, wiring, controls, and electrical panels associated with HVAC equipment.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of EPA or equivalent environmental regulations and refrigerant handling best practices.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical/electrical trades is preferred.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and accurately.
- Strong attention to safety, adherence to company procedures, and willingness to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Effective communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
