Role Description The GEM Tender Specialist will manage the end-to-end process of government e-marketplace (GeM) tenders, ensuring accurate and timely bid submissions for Maruti International - Steel Hub. This full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai involves identifying relevant GeM tenders, analyzing tender requirements, coordinating with internal teams for technical and commercial inputs, and preparing compliant proposals. The specialist will monitor tender portals, maintain tender documentation, track deadlines, and update management on bid status and outcomes. Daily responsibilities include data analysis, price comparison, vendor registration and documentation, follow-up on clarifications, and support in negotiation and post-award processes to maximize tender success.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Tender Management and Proposal Writing skills, including experience handling GeM tenders or government procurement bids.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Procurement knowledge to interpret tender specifications, evaluate pricing, and support sourcing decisions.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders, respond to tender queries, and liaise with clients or authorities.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in steel, metals, or industrial products, along with familiarity with government e-procurement portals, will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines are essential.
- Strong organizational skills, integrity in handling commercial information, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
