Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Kannur. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop collections that align with MIRAY’s brand aesthetic, focusing on modern, comfortable, and elegant designs for women. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, creating and refining patterns, supervising fittings, and ensuring garments meet quality and fit standards. The role also involves collaborating with production teams, coordinating with embroiderers and other artisans, and staying updated on market trends and customer preferences. The Fashion Designer will work closely with the founder and core team to bring new collections from concept to final product within defined timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Textiles and Embroidery to select appropriate fabrics, techniques, and surface ornamentation.
- Candidates should possess practical Fitting skills to ensure accurate sizing, drape, and comfort for finished garments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Ability to translate brand vision into commercially viable designs and work collaboratively with production teams.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and familiarity with contemporary Indian fashion trends.
- Prior experience in women’s wear design or boutique/label environments is an advantage.
