Role Description This full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role is based in Tirupur. The Fashion Designer will develop original concepts, create sketches, and translate ideas into detailed designs aligned with Carloo Textile’s brand and market requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include selecting fabrics and materials, coordinating with the production and sampling teams, overseeing fittings, and ensuring design feasibility and quality. The role also involves collaborating with merchandisers and other stakeholders to refine collections, incorporating feedback from customers and market trends. The Fashion Designer will maintain design documentation, support pattern-making, and contribute to seasonal collection planning.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning.
- Candidates should possess solid Textiles knowledge, including fabric types, properties, and appropriate usage in garment construction.
- Candidates should possess skills in Embroidery and decorative techniques, with an ability to integrate embellishments into cohesive designs.
- Candidates should possess Fitting skills, with experience in working with patterns, samples, and adjustments for different sizes and silhouettes.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD software) and basic technical drawing skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Understanding of current fashion trends and local market preferences; prior experience in textile or apparel manufacturing is an advantage.
