Role Description The Factory Manager (Modular Furniture) role at Modular Story is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Factory Manager oversees day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production planning, resource allocation, and workflow management, to meet output and delivery targets. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality standards, resolving production issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance requirements. The Factory Manager coordinates with design, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize material usage, reduce lead times, and maintain accurate production records. The role involves leading and mentoring factory staff, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and reporting key performance indicators to senior management.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management for modular furniture or related manufacturing environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to maintain product standards and ensure adherence to specifications and safety requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management to oversee factory workflows, resource utilization, and process optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in Manufacturing Operations, including familiarity with modular furniture production processes, machinery, and materials.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience managing factory teams, implementing lean or continuous improvement practices, and working with production targets is preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and lead diverse teams.
- Comfort with using basic manufacturing software or ERP tools for planning, tracking, and reporting production activities.
