Role Description The Plant Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Nagpur, responsible for overseeing day-to-day plant operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The role includes managing manufacturing processes, monitoring production planning and schedules, and coordinating resources to meet output, quality, and delivery targets. The Plant Manager leads and supervises plant teams, implements standard operating procedures, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This position also involves optimizing equipment utilization, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing maintenance coordination, and preparing regular operational and performance reports for senior management.
Qualifications
- Strong plant management and plant operations skills, with experience leading a manufacturing facility.
- Proficiency in operations management and production planning to optimize workflows and resource utilization.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, including process control, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Knowledge of chemical or process industry standards, regulatory requirements, and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) practices.
- Proven leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and implement improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication and documentation skills for reporting, stakeholder interaction, and policy implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Management, or a related field; relevant advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience with ERP or production management systems and familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
