Location: Dankuni, Burdwan | Full-Time | Immediate Joiners Preferred
We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Factory Manager from the Pharmaceutical Industry to oversee plant operations at our Dankuni facility.
Role Overview
The Factory Manager will be responsible for end-to-end plant operations — production planning, cGMP compliance, quality control, manpower management, and regulatory adherence — ensuring the facility runs efficiently and meets pharma industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and compliance targets
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, GLP, and other pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines (Schedule M, WHO-GMP, USFDA as applicable)
- Manage production schedules in line with demand forecasts and ensure timely dispatch
- Monitor and control production costs, yield, wastage, and raw material consumption
- Oversee Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes and ensure timely resolution of deviations, CAPAs, and non-conformities
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, labour, and environmental regulations (Factories Act, Pollution Control norms, Drug & Cosmetics Act)
- Lead and supervise shop-floor staff, supervisors, and line workers; manage manpower planning and shift scheduling
- Implement SOPs, documentation practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with QA, QC, Procurement, Stores, and HR for smooth plant functioning
- Handle regulatory audits (FDA, WHO-GMP, customer audits) and ensure timely closure of observations
- Prepare and present production, cost, and compliance MIS reports to management
- Drive a strong safety and quality culture on the shop floor
Qualification & Experience
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Tech (Chemical/Pharmaceutical) or equivalent (Any Graduates)
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a Factory Manager/Plant Head role
- Hands-on experience with cGMP, regulatory audits, and pharma documentation is mandatory
