The Factory Manager will be responsible for driving production efficiency, optimizing cycle times, ensuring strict quality standards, managing preventive maintenance, and leading a diverse local workforce.
Key Responsibilities

- Optimize the use of raw materials (PET resin, colorants, additives) to maximize yield and minimize scrap/waste.
2. Technical Leadership & Maintenance
- Oversee the preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of Sacmi IPS preform machines, hot runners, and complex molds.
- Manage auxiliary utilities essential to the preform process, including material dryers, dehumidifiers, chillers, and high-pressure air compressors.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, identifying root causes to reduce machine downtime.
- Lead rapid and efficient mold changeovers and implement cycle-time reduction techniques.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all preforms meet stringent food-safety and quality parameters for CSD and Water, strictly monitoring Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) drops, Acetaldehyde (AA) levels, and stress cracking.
- Oversee the operation of automated quality inspection systems (such as Sacmi PVS / Preform Vision Systems).
- Ensure the facility complies with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ISO certifications, and local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
4. Team Leadership & Workforce Management
- Lead, mentor, and train local Angolan production and maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices across the shop floor.
- Manage shift schedules, handle grievances, and ensure strict compliance with labor laws and company policies.
