Role Description The Elevator Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Elevator Mechanic will install, inspect, maintain, and repair elevator systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Daily tasks include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, replacing or adjusting parts, and ensuring equipment operates safely and smoothly. The role involves responding to service calls, troubleshooting elevator issues, coordinating with supervisors and clients, and maintaining accurate service records and reports. The Elevator Mechanic will also follow company safety procedures, comply with local regulations, and support testing and commissioning of new installations.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Elevator Maintenance, including routine inspections, preventive servicing, and replacement of worn components.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing faults in Elevators and identifying effective repair solutions.
- Working knowledge of Electricity and electromechanical systems to safely handle wiring, controls, and power components.
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair of elevators or related lifting/industrial equipment.
- Technical diploma, ITI certification, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related trade.
- Understanding of safety standards, use of tools and test equipment, and adherence to regulatory and building codes.
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to work at heights, in shafts, and in confined spaces, and to handle moderate lifting and manual tasks.
- Prior experience as an elevator technician or mechanic is preferred; exposure to multiple elevator brands and control systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru, with flexibility for occasional extended hours or emergency service calls.
