Job details:
Company Description Zelbytes is an innovative agritech startup focused on merging advanced engineering with sustainable farming practices. The company builds fully autonomous controlled environments that optimize climate, irrigation, and nutrient delivery for high-yield agriculture. Its ZelAI ecosystem acts as a centralized intelligence layer, supported by 3-axis robotic monitoring and smart automation for shading, misting, and dosing. Zelbytes’ solutions are deployed across commercial mushroom units, open-field precision fertigation, and vertical hydroponics, helping growers minimize resource wastage. The startup is an ARISE grantee and is supported by Pusa Krishi (ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute), New Delhi, signaling strong institutional backing and growth potential.
Role Description The Electronics/Embedded Systems Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded hardware and software for autonomous agricultural systems and IoT devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and testing embedded firmware, integrating sensors and actuators, developing control and communication modules, and troubleshooting electronics across prototypes and deployed units. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine system architectures, optimize power and reliability, and support field deployments and maintenance. Documentation of designs, participation in design reviews, and iterative improvements based on real-world performance data are central to this role. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Thiruvananthapuram.
