Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Embedded Software Engineer with 7–10 years with hands-on experience in design, development, integration, and validation of embedded software for automotive ECUs as per Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) along with using SW Tools like Hitech Compiler, Lauterbach-TRACE-32, PC Lint/QAC, Polyspace, Gliwa- CPU Load measurement tool, Vector Cast /Verify Soft for Unit Testing , C-Make, CI/CD, IBM JAZZ, PTC GitHub etc.. to develop enhanced development workflows, cooperate proactively with internal product group experts and launch new SW tools in the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of Design, development workflow and maintenance needs of automotive embedded software (Application Software & Base Software) meeting functional safety, Cyber security and quality standards in order to work out and propose enhanced workflows using state-of-the-art tools.
- Understand current workflow, work out efficient and harmonized solutions and train organization how to:
- perform and manage static / dynamic code analysis using PC Lint/ Polyspace and other 3rd party tool solutions and in-house developed extensions
- execute runtime and timing analysis using tools such as Gliwa (T1.profiler / T1.flex) to ensure task scheduling, CPU load
- manage build environments using Make, CMake, and Python scripting; integrate toolchains for cross-compilation and embedded targets
- use debugging and trace tools including Model Debugger and Lauterbach Trace32 embedded system and develop .cmm script for project need.
- operate CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions, Artifactory for artifact management, and Conan for C/C++ dependency management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SW team, Testing team, etc..) to gather inputs and guide them harmonizing their toolchains
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems,
- 7+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development.
- Exp in Application Software (ASW) / Base Software (BSW) AUTOSAR stack /non AUTOSAR
- Strong expertise in C/C++/RUST programming for embedded targets.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Polyspace (Bug Finder and Code Prover) for static analysis.
- Proficiency with additional static analysis tools (e.g., LDRA, PC-lint, Klocwork).
- Strong experience with Gliwa (T1.profiler / T1.flex) for runtime and timing analysis or similar tools
- Good knowledge of Automotive SPICE framework, process areas, and work products.
- Exposure to tool qualification and process audits is a plus.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining Make and CMake build environments for embedded targets.
- Python scripting for automation, code generation, data processing, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Model Debugger and Lauterbach Trace32 for embedded debugging and trace analysis.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with Configuration Management Tools like PTC/ GitHub, IBM JAZZ etc.
