Role Description The Design For Testability Engineer at Corpmatch Private Limited is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role is responsible for developing and implementing design-for-test (DFT) strategies for integrated circuits and electronic systems to ensure high test coverage and reliable manufacturability. The engineer will collaborate with design, verification, and product engineering teams to define test architectures, insert test structures, and optimize test plans. Daily tasks include creating and reviewing DFT specifications, working with EDA tools, analyzing test results, and driving improvements in test efficiency and yield. The role also involves documenting methodologies, supporting team members with technical guidance, and contributing to continuous improvement of design and test processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in digital electronics, semiconductor design, and test methodologies, with experience in Design For Testability (DFT) concepts.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools for test insertion, pattern generation, and fault simulation (e.g., scan, BIST, boundary scan, ATPG tools).
- Knowledge of HDL languages such as Verilog or VHDL and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or TCL) for automation.
- Understanding of SoC/ASIC design flows, verification processes, and manufacturing test strategies.
- Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, interpret test data, and propose effective, practical solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain DFT concepts clearly.
- Optional but beneficial: exposure to industry-standard interfaces, low-power design techniques, and experience working with production test teams.
