Role Description The Air Freight Pricing Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role is responsible for preparing and updating air freight rates and quotations, coordinating with airlines and overseas partners, and ensuring competitive and accurate pricing for customers. Daily tasks include analyzing market rates, monitoring airline schedules and surcharges, maintaining pricing databases, and responding to rate inquiries from the sales and operations teams. The executive will collaborate closely with customer service and sales to support bids and tenders, ensure timely turnaround on quote requests, and track profitability of key accounts. The role also involves maintaining documentation, adhering to internal compliance and company policies, and contributing to process improvements in the pricing function.
Qualifications
- Experience in air freight or logistics pricing, with strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes and airline rate structures.
- Proficiency in data analysis, rate comparison, and use of spreadsheets or pricing tools for accurate quotation preparation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with sales, operations, airlines, and overseas partners.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple quote requests, maintain rate records, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru South, collaborate in a team environment, and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Comfort with basic business software (e.g., MS Excel, email, CRM or ERP systems) and willingness to learn new tools.
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain is preferred; exposure to air cargo is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is beneficial, though relevant experience may substitute.
