Role Description The Chief Operational Excellence Officer is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization. This position oversees production workflows, supply chain processes, and quality systems to ensure consistent output, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing performance data, identifying process gaps, defining improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices. The role also involves aligning operational plans with business strategy, supporting budgeting and resource allocation, and establishing metrics to monitor performance and risk. The Chief Operational Excellence Officer provides leadership, guidance, and coaching to operational teams to build a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications
- Strong Business Planning and strategic thinking skills to align operational initiatives with long-term organizational goals.
- Proven Operations Management experience, including process optimization, production planning, and quality improvement.
- Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting operational data, diagnosing issues, and making evidence-based decisions.
- Solid understanding of Finance and Budgeting to manage cost structures, resource allocation, and efficiency improvements.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably in fasteners, metals, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with skill in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and change management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, geographically dispersed setting.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., engineering, operations, business, or related field); advanced degrees or professional certifications in operations, lean, or Six Sigma are an advantage.
