Role Description The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for cables and wire is a full-time, on-site role based in Mahesana. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing quality assurance activities for cable and wire products, including designing and reviewing test plans, test cases, and inspection procedures. The engineer performs and supervises manual testing and product validation, monitors quality metrics, and investigates defects or non-conformities in coordination with production and engineering teams. Day-to-day tasks include documenting test results, preparing quality reports, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations, and driving corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing methods and quality systems.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance skills, including developing QA processes and enforcing quality standards for cables and wire.
- Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and Test Cases, with experience planning, designing, and running structured tests.
- Candidates should possess Manual Testing and Software Testing skills, including hands-on testing of systems supporting production and quality workflows.
- Candidates should have knowledge of cable and wire manufacturing processes, relevant industry standards, and product certification requirements.
- Candidates should have experience with root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of QA tools or measurement instruments.
- Candidates should have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor team members.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification, and several years of experience in quality assurance in cables, wire, or similar manufacturing environments, are highly beneficial.
