Role Description The DC Shift Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Anant Raj Cloud Data Center in Gurugram. The individual in this role oversees day-to-day data center operations during assigned shifts, including monitoring critical infrastructure, coordinating incident response, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include supervising shift technicians, assigning tasks, and verifying completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The DC Shift Manager ensures compliance with security, safety, and regulatory requirements, maintains accurate shift logs and reports, and escalates issues to senior management as needed. This role also collaborates with internal teams and customers to support service availability, capacity planning, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
Qualifications
- Experience managing data center or mission-critical facility operations, including shift supervision and team coordination.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, servers, network devices) and standard monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in incident management, troubleshooting, and escalation procedures to maintain high service availability.
- Understanding of physical and information security practices, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain detailed operational documentation, shift logs, and reports with high accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical staff, vendors, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a data center, telecom, cloud, or IT infrastructure environment is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by data center operations.
