Role Description The Co-Founder / Senior Executive will play a key leadership role in shaping Vermigold Ecotech’s strategic direction, driving growth, and strengthening its position in the cleantech waste management sector. This full-time hybrid role is based in Mumbai, with a mix of on-site responsibilities and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading business strategy and planning, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives, building partnerships with institutional, commercial, and government stakeholders, and guiding product and technology roadmaps in line with market needs. The role will also involve managing key operations, mentoring a small cross-functional team, representing the company at industry events, and supporting fundraising, investor relations, and grant applications as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, or senior management, preferably in cleantech, sustainability, waste management, or related sectors.
- Strong business development, partnership management, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with enterprises, institutions, or government bodies.
- Background in strategy, operations, and organizational development, with the ability to scale processes and teams in a growing company.
- Understanding of environmental technologies, circular economy, or composting systems; technical or engineering exposure is an advantage.
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and familiarity with fundraising, grants, or investor relations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the organization in public forums and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated passion for sustainability and social impact, with a hands-on, collaborative working style suited to an early-stage or scaling venture.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
