Role Description This is a full-time,on-site Business Development Manager role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Business Development Manager will identify and build relationships with private colleges, universities, and institutions across target regions, understanding their admissions needs and proposing tailored solutions. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and outreach, conducting meetings and presentations, negotiating and closing agreements, and coordinating with internal marketing and counselling teams to ensure smooth delivery of services. The role also involves monitoring market trends, preparing performance reports, and contributing to strategic growth plans. The Business Development Manager will be expected to maintain a strong pipeline, meet revenue and partnership targets, and represent Collegevive professionally at events and client visits.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation,client relationship management, and negotiation abilities.
- Experience with education sector or admissions processes, ideally working with colleges, universities, or similar institutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and planning skills to interpret data, prepare reports, and design effective outreach strategies.
- Comfort with on-ground engagement, including institutional visits, events, and counselling-related coordination.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and meet agreed business targets.
- Proficiency in standard office tools and CRM or sales tracking systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in business development, account management, or B2B sales is highly beneficial.
