About Ikaya Capital
Ikaya Capital is a business finance advisory platform helping entrepreneurs and MSMEs access suitable funding through our network of banks and financial institutions.
We are part of Ikaya Earth Pvt. Ltd., an established company operating in the climate and sustainability sector. We are now relaunching and expanding our financial services vertical with a dedicated team and a long-term vision.
Our ambition is to build more than a lending business — an ecosystem where entrepreneurs can access capital, connections and opportunities to grow.
The Opportunity
We're hiring our first Business Development Executive for Ikaya Capital's next phase of growth.
This is a fully remote opportunity to work directly with the founder, take ownership of business relationships and help build a growing financial services business from an early stage.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, responsible, confident in communicating with business owners and motivated to grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect with business owners through inbound enquiries, existing databases, WhatsApp campaigns and referrals.
- Understand their business operations, turnover, existing loans and funding requirements.
- Explain Ikaya Capital's services and qualify potential borrowers.
- Conduct follow-up calls and build professional relationships with entrepreneurs.
- Collect preliminary financial information and coordinate required documents.
- Schedule qualified client discussions with the founder.
- Coordinate with clients on ongoing applications and communicate progress.
- Maintain accurate client information, follow-ups and pipeline stages in the CRM.
- Provide daily activity reports and participate in online team meetings.
- Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
Who Should Apply?
- 1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Relationship Management, Inside Sales or Client Servicing.
- Excellent Hindi communication and working knowledge of English.
- Comfortable speaking with entrepreneurs, business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Good follow-up discipline and strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable using CRM software, Google Sheets, WhatsApp Business and online meeting tools.
- Must have a personal laptop, reliable internet connection and a quiet professional workspace.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently without constant supervision.
Experience in banking, lending or financial services is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation & Career Growth
Fixed Salary: ₹35,000 per month in-hand.
Performance Incentives: Additional earnings linked to business development milestones and successful loan disbursements.
We believe in realistic performance expectations and rewarding genuine contributions.
- Fixed salary is not linked to monthly sales targets.
- Performance goals will be mutually communicated and reviewed.
- Incentives are additional to fixed compensation.
- Training, guidance and direct founder mentorship will be provided.
Career Path: Business Development Executive → Relationship Manager → Senior Relationship Manager → Team Lead.
As an early team member, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibilities as Ikaya Capital expands.
Working Arrangement
- Job Type: Full-time, permanent
- Work Location: 100% Remote / Work From Home
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM IST (including a 30-minute break)
- Reporting: Directly to the Founder
- Daily Coordination: Online morning meeting, CRM updates and end-of-day progress report
- Joining: Immediate or as mutually agreed
Why Join Ikaya Capital?
This isn't just another calling or sales job.
You'll work closely with the founder, interact with entrepreneurs across industries, understand real business financing challenges and help shape the future of a growing financial ecosystem.
We're looking for someone who wants to build a career while helping us build a business.
