About Algology
Algology is a biotechnology company developing innovative microalgae-based ingredients for the food and beverage industry. Our flagship product, Algablu™, is a natural blue ingredient derived from Spirulina, helping brands create clean-label, naturally coloured products.
We're looking for a Business Development Executive to help introduce Algablu™ to cafés, bakeries, dessert brands, beverage companies, and other food businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit and connect with cafés, bakeries, beverage brands, and other food businesses.
- Introduce customers to Algablu™ and its food and beverage applications.
- Generate new business opportunities and arrange product trials.
- Build and maintain relationships with chefs, bakers, founders, and product development teams.
- Follow up on enquiries and convert opportunities into customers.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records using the company's CRM system.
- Work towards monthly sales and business development targets.
What We're Looking For
- 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Interest in the food, beverage, or ingredients industry.
- Willingness to travel locally for customer meetings.
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn.
- Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Tamil is an advantage.
