About The Turaco Roastery
The Turaco Roastery is an upcoming one-of-a-kind specialty coffee café in Jaipur, set to launch in September 2026.
We are building a coffee experience that goes beyond simply serving a cup with a strong focus on specialty coffee, precision brewing, manual brewing, thoughtfully crafted Matcha beverages, quality ingredients, and exceptional guest experience.
We’re looking for passionate people who genuinely understand and appreciate the craft of coffee and want to be part of The Turaco Roastery from the beginning.
Selected candidates should be available to join by the end of August or early September 2026 for training, menu familiarisation, calibration and pre-opening preparations.
Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Barista who doesn’t just make coffee, but delivers an experience in every cup.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of specialty coffee, espresso preparation, manual brewing and Matcha, along with excellent customer interaction skills.
You should be comfortable working with specialty coffee equipment, understanding different coffees and communicating their characteristics to guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages including Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Flat White, Cortado, etc.
* Handle and prepare manual brewing methods including V60, Chemex, French Press and AeroPress
* Prepare Matcha beverages with proper whisking, ratios, temperature and milk-texturing techniques
* Prepare both hot and iced Matcha-based beverages consistently
* Control and understand grind size, dose, yield, extraction time and brew ratios
* Perform daily espresso dial-in and calibration
* Maintain consistency in taste, texture, temperature and presentation
* Understand different coffee origins, processing methods, roast profiles and flavour characteristics
* Create and maintain basic to advanced latte art
* Properly texture milk for different espresso and Matcha beverages
* Educate guests about coffee and recommend coffees or brewing methods based on their preferences
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee bar, espresso machine, grinders and manual brewing equipment
* Follow recipes and quality standards consistently
* Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining beverage quality and guest experience
* Assist with opening/closing procedures, inventory and bar organisation
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of specialty coffee
* Understanding of coffee origins, processing methods, roast profiles and brewing techniques
* Hands-on experience with espresso dialing-in
* Strong understanding of grind, dose, yield and extraction
* Good command over manual brewing — V60, Chemex, AeroPress and French Press
* Ability to prepare Matcha properly and consistently
* Good milk texturing and latte art skills
* Ability to identify and correct under/over-extracted espresso
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong attention to cleanliness and organisation
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment
Experience
* 1–2 years of experience in a specialty coffee café preferred
* Candidates with hands-on experience in espresso, manual brewing and Matcha preparation will be preferred
* Freshers with strong coffee knowledge, professional barista training and genuine passion for specialty coffee may also apply
* Candidates should be willing to learn and adapt to The Turaco Roastery’s recipes, brewing standards and service philosophy
