Role Description The Bartender is a full-time, on-site role based at Grand Uniara in Jaipur, responsible for delivering a high standard of beverage service in the hotel’s bar and related outlets. Daily responsibilities include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, crafting classic and signature cocktails, and maintaining a clean, organized bar area. The role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring a refined yet relaxed atmosphere that reflects the hotel’s heritage character. The Bartender manages stock levels, assists with inventory, handles cash and electronic payments, and follows all safety, hygiene, and responsible service guidelines. Collaboration with the food and beverage team, support during events and celebrations, and consistent adherence to hotel service standards are key aspects of the position.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with a guest-centric approach and ability to create a welcoming, professional bar experience.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal interaction, active listening, and courteous engagement with diverse guests and colleagues.
- Foundational Food & Beverage knowledge, including bar menu items, beverage pairing basics, and familiarity with hospitality service standards.
- Proficient Bartending skills, such as cocktail mixing, beverage preparation, bar setup and closing routines, and adherence to responsible serving practices.
- Accurate Cash Handling capabilities, including processing payments, managing bills, and maintaining proper records and reconciliation.
- Previous experience in a hotel bar, lounge, or upscale restaurant is preferred; certification in bartending or hospitality is an advantage.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and local regulations related to the service of food and beverages, with attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
