Job details:
WHO WE ARE
Legend of Toys (LOT) is a full-stack D2C toys brand. We design and manufacture RC cars and drones where each product has a personality, a name, and a backstory. We're building a brand from India that competes on identity, not price, and every product that leaves our factory is a direct reflection of that standard.
THE ROLE
The Assistant Store Manager is the execution backbone of the store. You are responsible for the day-to-day transactional operations — receiving inward shipments, issuing materials to production, maintaining real-time stock records, and running the daily reporting cycle. You work closely with the Store Manager to keep every movement accurate and documented, and you step up to own the floor whenever needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who is sharp, dependable, and takes personal pride in a clean and accurate store.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Day-to-Day Inventory Operations
–Maintain real-time records of every inward and outward stock movement in the inventory management system,no unrecorded transactions
–Update bin cards, stock ledgers, and the IMS/ERP with accurate, up-to-date entries throughout each shift
–Execute cycle counts as per the schedule defined by the Store Manager; flag and report discrepancies immediately
–Monitor stock levels against reorder points and raise purchase requisitions to procurement before stock runs critical
–Track shelf life and storage conditions for sensitive components and flag issues to the Store Manager proactively
Production Issuance
–Issue raw materials and components to the production team strictly as per production orders and BOMs.
–Verify quantities against production requirements before every issuance — no over-issue or under-issue
–Maintain a daily issuance log and reconcile against production output at the end of each shift
–Coordinate with the production supervisor daily to plan material readiness ahead of production schedules
Inward & Vendor Coordination
–Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders for quantity and specification
–Coordinate with the quality team for inspection of all inward material before acceptance
–Raise GRNs accurately and ensure vendor documentation is complete, filed, and accessible
–Coordinate with the procurement team on delivery schedules and flag any discrepancies in vendor supply
–Handle returns of rejected material to vendors with complete and accurate documentation
Store Organisation & Housekeeping
–Maintain store organisation — SKU-wise and category-wise — so any item can be located quickly and accurately
–Ensure clear labeling, racking, and zoning is maintained across all storage areas at all times
–Enforce FIFO for all material categories every day without exception
–Keep the store clean, safe, and audit-ready; 5S standards are the daily baseline, not a periodic exercise
–Ensure proper segregation of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and rejected material is maintained
Daily Reporting
–Prepare and share daily inventory reports covering opening stock, inward, issuance, and closing balances
–Report daily shortfall and near-expiry alerts to the Store Manager before escalation to the Operations Head
–Provide the Store Manager with accurate consumption data and usage inputs for weekly and monthly reporting
–Maintain all GRN records and documentation for audit readiness at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
–2 or more years of experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment
–Hands-on experience with inventory management systems or ERP tools for stock tracking and reporting
–Solid understanding of GRN processes, BOM-based issuance, FIFO, and cycle counting
–Experience working in a factory or production environment with raw material and component handling is preferred
–Familiarity with MS Excel or Google Sheets for maintaining daily inventory records and reports
–Experience in electronics, consumer goods, or precision components manufacturing is a plus
The Person
–Highly organised and process-driven — you don't let movements go unrecorded and you don't cut corners on documentation
–Reliable and consistent — the production team depends on timely and accurate issuance and you understand the weight of that
–Proactive with flagging — you raise issues before they become problems, not after
–Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits across every GRN, issuance, and stock entry
–Good communicator who coordinates smoothly with production, procurement, and quality teams
–Physically hands-on and comfortable working in a factory store environment with day-to-day material handling
WHY THIS ROLE
This is a role where your work directly keeps production running. You'll develop deep expertise in store operations and have a clear growth path to a Store Manager role as the company scales. LOT is building something genuinely exciting in Indian manufacturing, and the people who bring discipline and accuracy to the foundation will grow with it.
