Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolhapur. This position supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including staff supervision, shift scheduling, and task allocation to ensure smooth functioning of the outlet. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with supply teams, maintaining store hygiene and safety standards, and ensuring accurate handling of orders, billing, and cash. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for resolving customer issues, supporting service quality initiatives, and assisting in meeting performance targets such as order accuracy, processing time, and sales goals. This role also contributes to training new team members, implementing standard operating procedures, and reporting operational metrics to management.
Qualifications
- Strong store operations and team supervision skills, with experience managing staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day workflows.
- Inventory management and basic cash handling skills, including stock checks, shrinkage control, and reconciliation of payments.
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle escalations professionally and maintain a positive in-store experience.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in fast-paced retail or quick-commerce environments.
- Basic computer and mobile application proficiency for using POS systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Previous experience in retail, grocery, convenience stores, or delivery-based businesses is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak periods, as required by store operations.
- Minimum high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
