Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science at VD Consultants is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot. The position involves planning and delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in core computer science and related areas, including lectures, labs, and tutorials. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating course materials, assessing student performance, providing academic advising, and maintaining clear records of grades and attendance. The role also includes contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental meetings, engaging in scholarly or applied research projects, and collaborating with colleagues on academic initiatives. The Assistant Professor is expected to stay current with advancements in computer science, support student projects, and contribute to outreach or industry-linked activities where relevant.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including core concepts, systems, and algorithms.
- Competence in Curriculum Development, with experience designing or revising academic courses and learning outcomes.
- Applied knowledge in Data Science, such as data analysis, machine learning fundamentals, or related tools and methods.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity principles, best practices, and emerging challenges in secure computing.
- Proficiency in Programming, with ability to teach at least one widely used language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Relevant academic qualification, typically a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated teaching ability, effective communication skills, and a student-centered approach to instruction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic team, manage classroom responsibilities, and use educational technologies.
- Engagement in research, publications, or industry experience in computing fields is an advantage.
