Role Description The Assistant Professor of Psychology will be responsible for delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in psychology through lectures, seminars, and interactive classroom activities. Day-to-day duties include preparing lesson plans, developing and updating curricula, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring and guidance. The role involves engaging in scholarly research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, participating in academic events, and contributing to departmental initiatives. Additional responsibilities include academic administration tasks such as participation in committees, student outreach, and collaboration with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based at RIMT University in Punjab, India.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Psychology with knowledge of core and applied areas.
- Demonstrated skills in University Teaching and Teaching, with experience in higher education settings.
- Ability to contribute to Curriculum Development, including designing and updating course content.
- Research skills, including proposal development, data collection, analysis, and publication.
- Relevant postgraduate degree ( Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related field); Ph.D. must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach diverse learners.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, ethical practice, and inclusive pedagogy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic team and participate in institutional development activities.
- Prior teaching, research publications, or industry/clinical exposure in psychology will be an added advantage.
