Role Description The Aptitude Trainer will work full time on-site at P A College of Engineering in Mangaluru. The role involves planning and delivering aptitude training sessions for students, covering quantitative ability, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and problem-solving skills. The trainer will design practice materials, mock tests, and exam-oriented exercises to help students prepare for campus placements and competitive exams. Daily activities include conducting classroom sessions, assessing student performance, providing feedback and mentoring, and coordinating with faculty and placement teams to align training with recruitment requirements. The trainer will also update training content regularly to reflect current industry standards and test patterns.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and data interpretation, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for learners.
- Proficiency in verbal ability, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and communication skills training.
- Experience in designing training modules, lesson plans, practice questions, and mock tests tailored to placements and competitive exams.
- Ability to assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and mentor learners with diverse academic backgrounds.
- Comfort with classroom delivery, student engagement techniques, and use of basic digital tools (presentations, online resources) for training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Education, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience as an aptitude trainer, test-prep instructor, or placement training faculty is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a collaborative approach to working with faculty, placement officers, and students.
