About the Role
ZPilot Academy is looking for an AI, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Instructor to deliver two of our professional programs:
- AI for Commerce & Business
- Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
We are looking for someone who combines practical data analytics and business intelligence skills with an understanding of finance, commerce, FinTech or business operations.
The instructor should be comfortable teaching both technical tools and their practical business applications—from Excel, SQL and dashboards to AI-assisted financial analysis, market research and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, hands-on classes for both programs.
- Teach data analysis using Excel, SQL, Power BI and Tableau.
- Cover data cleaning, transformation, validation and exploratory analysis.
- Teach advanced Excel functions, PivotTables, charts, KPI tracking and dashboard development.
- Explain SQL concepts including filtering, aggregation, joins, subqueries, CASE statements and window functions.
- Guide learners in creating interactive Power BI and Tableau dashboards.
- Teach data visualisation, data storytelling and the presentation of business insights.
- Demonstrate how AI tools can assist with data cleaning, formula generation, SQL queries, report creation and analytical workflows.
- Teach practical applications of AI in finance, accounting, business research, investment analysis and market intelligence.
- Guide learners through financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, trend identification and risk assessment.
- Introduce AI-assisted business automation and simple no-code or low-code workflows.
- Conduct practical exercises using realistic finance, sales, marketing and operational datasets.
- Mentor learners through assignments, capstone projects and the creation of an analytics portfolio.
- Teach responsible data and AI practices, including privacy, bias, verification and the limitations of AI-generated analysis.
- Collaborate with the academic team to improve course material and keep it aligned with current industry tools and practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Academic or professional background in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, FinTech, Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookup functions, PivotTables, charts and dashboards.
- Practical knowledge of SQL for extracting, transforming and analysing data.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Understanding of data visualisation, KPIs, dashboard design and business reporting.
- Practical experience using generative AI tools for data, finance or business workflows.
- Ability to interpret datasets and convert analytical findings into clear business insights.
- Strong communication, presentation and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to explain technical and financial concepts to learners from different academic backgrounds.
- Ability to design and guide hands-on projects based on realistic business problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in FinTech, financial services, business intelligence, data analytics, consulting, accounting or business operations using AI.
- Working knowledge of Python and libraries such as Pandas for data analysis.
- Familiarity with databases, ETL processes, data warehouses and data pipelines.
- Experience with financial modelling, financial reporting or investment research.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and no-code platforms.
- Previous teaching, mentoring, corporate training or workshop experience.
- A portfolio containing dashboards, analytical reports, financial models or AI-assisted business projects.
