Role Description The Admission Counselor role at Compare Degree is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The Admission Counselor will guide prospective students through the exploration of higher education options, explain platform features, and clarify course, cost, and career path information. Daily responsibilities include engaging with students and families via in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails, understanding their educational goals, and recommending suitable programs. The role involves answering queries, providing accurate and timely information, maintaining detailed records of interactions, and following up with leads to support their decision-making process. The Admission Counselor will collaborate with internal teams to share applicant feedback and help improve the user experience and counseling processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to engage effectively with diverse prospective students and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally, offer clear guidance, and ensure a supportive counseling experience.
- Candidates should possess sales-related skills to manage leads, conduct persuasive yet ethical discussions, and help convert interest into enrollment decisions.
- Candidates should possess an understanding of the education domain, including academic pathways, program structures, and career outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business, or a related field are beneficial.
- Additional beneficial skills include fluency in English, proficiency with digital tools and CRM systems, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in admissions counseling, academic advising, or education-related customer support is an advantage.
