Role Description This is a full-time remote Counselor role focused on providing mental health and wellness support to working professionals experiencing anxiety. The Counselor will conduct individual sessions via online platforms, assess client needs, and develop short-term, goal-oriented care plans aligned with Happy Living’s anxiety reduction programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering counseling interventions, tracking client progress, maintaining accurate and secure documentation, and collaborating with internal teams to refine program materials and resources. The role also involves educating clients on coping strategies, self-care practices, and resilience-building techniques, while ensuring an inclusive, non-judgmental, and ethical therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant mental health credentials such as licensed counselor, therapist, psychologist, social worker, or equivalent, in accordance with local regulations.
- Experience in anxiety-focused counseling, short-term interventions, or brief therapy models, preferably with working professionals.
- Strong communication, active listening, and empathy skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport in a remote setting.
- Comfort with telehealth platforms, digital documentation, and maintaining client confidentiality in virtual environments.
- Ability to create structured care plans, monitor progress, and adapt approaches based on client feedback and outcomes.
- Commitment to evidence-informed practices, professional ethics, and ongoing learning in mental health and wellness.
- Ability to work independently, manage a remote caseload, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
- Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field is preferred.
