Role Description The Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The Counselor will guide learners and professionals in selecting suitable education programs, upskilling pathways, and global career opportunities aligned with their goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions (in-person and via digital channels), assessing candidate profiles, advising on course and institution selection, and explaining application, visa, and financing processes where relevant. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in internal systems, coordinating with operations and admissions teams, and participating in events such as webinars, workshops, and job fairs. The Counselor is expected to provide empathetic, data-informed guidance, meet counseling and conversion targets, and uphold Leverage Edu’s standards of fairness, transparency, and learner-centric service.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory abilities, including active listening, needs assessment, and goal-oriented guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, with clear spoken and written English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Comfort using digital tools and platforms, with the ability to quickly learn AI-enabled products and CRM or counseling software.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including handling multiple cases, meeting targets, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Understanding of global education pathways, upskilling programs, and career mobility trends; prior experience in counseling or education services is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in psychology, education, counseling, or related fields are an added benefit.
- Demonstrated empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory support for diverse learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to events, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
