Role Description The Principal Interior Designer will lead end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development to final handover, in a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts and space plans, preparing detailed drawings and presentations, and overseeing FF&E selection and specifications. The role involves coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors, reviewing construction drawings, and conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained. The Principal Interior Designer will mentor junior team members, manage project timelines and budgets, and support business development activities through proposals and design pitches.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture, with experience leading multidisciplinary design projects.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize layouts, circulation, and functionality for residential and commercial spaces.
- Ability to develop and review detailed Construction Drawings, including technical documentation and coordination with consultants.
- Expertise in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D visualization, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines, with strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Leadership experience in guiding design teams, providing design critique, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
- Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices relevant to Navi Mumbai and surrounding regions.
