About the Role
ITCPL is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead our laboratory's technical operations — driving accurate, timely, and traceable testing results across our Mechanical, Chemical, Metallography, and Civil sections.

What You'll Own
✅ Technical validity of methods, data, and reported results ✅ Personnel competence — training, evaluation, and authorization of technical staff ✅ Method selection, verification, and validation ✅ Equipment suitability, calibration, and metrological control ✅ Turnaround time, workload planning, and delivery performance ✅ Nonconforming work, risk management, and accreditation readiness ✅ Customer confidence through defensible technical decisions
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor testing activities across all technical departments • Review technically complex enquiries and lead contract/feasibility reviews • Approve and oversee method verification/validation and measurement uncertainty • Define competence criteria and authorize technical personnel • Ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose, calibrated, and properly controlled • Investigate abnormal results, PT/ILC performance, and nonconformities • Drive continual improvement and support internal audits & accreditation assessments
What We're Looking For
🎓 Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Materials Science, or related discipline 🧪 Proven experience in material-testing laboratory operations and technical supervision 📘 Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, NABL requirements, and applicable standards 📈 Understanding of method validation, measurement uncertainty, and metrological traceability 🗣️ Strong leadership, analytical judgement, and communication skills
