Role Description This is a full-time Interior Designer role with a hybrid work arrangement, based in Haridwar, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, prepare mood boards, select materials and finishes, and create detailed layouts for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, coordinating architecture and construction drawings, and specifying FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The role involves meeting clients, understanding their requirements, presenting design proposals, and revising plans based on feedback. The Interior Designer will also coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to ensure designs are implemented on time and within budget, while maintaining design quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to create functional, visually appealing layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to interpret and prepare technical plans.
- Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment coordination.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple projects.
- Understanding of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Haridwar or nearby regions is an advantage.
