Role Description The Interior Designer will work on-site full time at Iris Studios on Kanakpura Road (close to Falcon city Mall), collaborating with clients and internal teams to develop and execute interior design concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client consultations, preparing mood boards and design presentations, and developing detailed space plans that align with project requirements. The role involves creating and reviewing construction drawings, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), coordinating with contractors and vendors, and performing site visits to monitor progress and ensure design integrity. The Interior Designer will also manage project documentation, support cost estimations, and help maintain a consistent design standard across all studio projects.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to translate client needs into functional, attractive layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including understanding of building standards and ability to work with technical plans.
- Experience with FF&E selection and specification, including materials, finishes, lighting, and furnishings suitable for diverse project types.
- Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic presentation tools.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present concepts clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior studio or site experience is an advantage.
