The Opportunity

The technology pillar of Empathy's ecosystem is being developed alongside its foundations in Spirituality and Storytelling.
One of the products being developed under this vision is the Super Social App.
We are looking for an App Developer / Technology Co-Creator who wants to help build this product from the ground up.
This Isn't Just A Coding Role
We aren't looking for someone who simply receives a technical specification and writes code.
We want someone who can participate in the journey:
Idea → Product → Technology → Human Behaviour → Experience
You will work closely with the founding/product team to turn the vision into a working product.

- Social/community functionality

- Technical architecture for future scale
More Than A Developer
The right person will be interested in questions such as:
How does technology affect human behaviour?
What kind of social environment are we creating?
Can technology encourage healthier interactions?
Can technology and storytelling work together?
You don't have to have all the answers.
But you should be willing to ask better questions.

- Understands product thinking
- Can take technical ownership
- Can work in an early-stage environment
- Is comfortable with ambiguity
- Can communicate technical decisions clearly
- Thinks about user experience, not just functionality
- Understands security and scalability
- Is curious about human behaviour
- Is excited by unconventional product ideas
- Believes technology can be designed with empathy
Relevant experience in mobile/web technologies and frameworks is expected.
COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE (PLEASE READ)
This is a revenue-share collaboration opportunity and not a conventional salaried internship.
The selected developer will become a technology collaborator for the Super Social App and participate in revenue generated by the relevant product/business according to a mutually agreed commercial structure.
There is no guaranteed fixed stipend or monthly salary at the outset.
Before development begins, the commercial agreement will clearly establish:
- Revenue-share percentage
- Scope of technical contribution
- Development responsibilities
- Expected commitment
- Intellectual property ownership
- Code ownership and access
- Product rights
- Payment mechanism and timelines
- Exit/termination terms
- Post-exit responsibilities, where applicable
We want the commercial relationship to be as thoughtfully designed as the product itself.
