Role Description The Lead QA/QC Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Qatar. This role oversees quality assurance and quality control activities across projects, ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining QA/QC procedures, supervising inspections, coordinating quality audits, and leading root cause analysis and corrective actions. The Lead QA/QC Engineer collaborates with project management, engineering, and operations teams to resolve quality issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement. The role also includes preparing and reviewing quality documentation, training team members on quality practices, and reporting quality performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Quality Control and Inspection, including hands-on experience with site inspections, material checks, and process verification.
- Strong background in Quality Assurance and Quality Management, with the ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, procedures, and systems.
- Experience in Quality Auditing, including internal and external audits, compliance assessments, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
- B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15+ years of QA/QC experience in the EPC Oil & Gas industry
- CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS CWI, or equivalent certification
- ASNT/PCN Level II in RT, UT, PT & MPI
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
- Strong experience in quality assurance, inspection, and compliance with international standards
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and control practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements PQP plan PQP KPI, ITP Procedure, Vendor Audit, Vendor Selection
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive quality initiatives and improvements
