Role Description The Quality Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based at Elscint Automation’s facility in Pune. This role involves monitoring and improving product quality across vibratory feeding systems, gear boxes, motors, and related components, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing quality control procedures, performing inspections and tests, analyzing defects and nonconformities, and collaborating with design, production, and tool room teams to resolve quality issues. The Quality Engineer will maintain documentation for quality assurance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the refinement of quality management processes and metrics. This role also requires participation in root cause analysis, supplier quality reviews, and preparation of reports and feedback for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Engineering and Product Quality to design, implement, and improve quality processes for automation equipment.
- Hands-on experience in Quality Control, including inspection methods, testing procedures, and use of measurement tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices, documentation standards, and compliance with relevant industrial quality norms.
- Understanding of Quality Management principles, including continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, or industrial automation manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams on-site and coordinate with suppliers and customers.
