Position: Jr. Quality Engineer
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspection of raw sheets and bought-out items against specifications.
- Carry out in-process and final inspection of thermoformed parts using gauges, fixtures, and engineering drawings.
- Take dimensional measurements and record deviations.
- Log and track non-conformances, rejections, and rework.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and traceability documents.
- Support handling of customer complaints and internal CAPA follow-ups.
- Track instrument calibration schedules and identify instruments due for calibration.
- Verify parts against the latest approved drawings and ECN revisions before dispatch.
- Assist with ISO / IATF documentation and audit preparation.
- Escalate recurring defects to the Quality Head with basic supporting data.
Required Qualifications - Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Plastics, Polymer, or Production Engineering.
- 0–2 years of experience; freshers are welcome.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Gauges
- Basic knowledge of plastics or thermoforming is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Comfortable with MS Excel and data entry.
- Detail-oriented and disciplined with documentation.
- Willingness to work on the shop floor.
- Gujarati and Hindi fluency.
- Basic English knowledge for reports.
