Role Description The Baker role at Cela Bakehouse is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai. The Baker is responsible for preparing doughs and batters, baking breads, cookies, and other products according to recipes and production schedules, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and mixing ingredients, operating baking equipment, monitoring baking times and temperatures, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations. The Baker will also assist with inventory of baking supplies, proper storage of ingredients, and adherence to food safety standards. Collaboration with the team to develop new products and improve existing recipes is encouraged.
Qualifications
- Strong practical experience in Bakery operations and Baking techniques
- Skilled in Food Preparation, including measuring, mixing, and handling baking ingredients
- Ability to produce a variety of Cookies with consistent taste, texture, and appearance
- Ability to prepare and bake different types of Bread, including artisan and specialty varieties
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and safe equipment operation
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to follow recipes and production schedules
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and peak seasons as needed
- Prior experience in a commercial bakery or culinary training is preferred
