Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, producing detailed drawings, and coordinating with site supervisors, laborers, contractors to deliver well-executed interiors. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, preparing mood boards and presentations, and creating construction drawings and specifications. The role also involves conducting site visits to ensure design intent is maintained. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular interaction with clients and project teams throughout the design and execution process.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design and space planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically cohesive layouts.
- Understanding of architecture and construction drawings, including the ability to prepare and interpret technical documentation.
- Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination with vendors.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture
- Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective collaboration and communication abilities for working with clients, consultants, and site teams.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, building codes, and local regulations in Mumbai is an advantage.
