Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing layouts, and coordinating project details from initial brief through completion. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, creating mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, preparing construction drawings, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) with vendors and contractors. The role involves site visits, measurements, client presentations, and close collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent is realized. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular presence at the studio and project sites.
Qualifications
- Ability to plan and organize interior spaces effectively, with strong Space Planning and Interior Design skills.
- Understanding of Architecture and construction processes, including coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed Construction Drawings and documentation for implementation.
- Experience in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including materials, finishes, and product sourcing.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Strong command of design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Excellent visual communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in an on-site studio environment.
