Responsibilities
· Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM software- Mastercam to manufacture patterns, core boxes and part machining according to drg
· Work closely with design engineers to review CAD models and identify any potential manufacturing issues, such as part geometry, tolerances, or material properties.
· Create detailed and accurate CNC toolpaths for a variety of machines (milling, turning, multi-axis, etc.), ensuring optimal machining efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
· Perform simulation of machining processes to verify toolpath accuracy and avoid any conflicts or collisions.
· Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time, tooling costs, and scrap, while improving product quality and precision.
· Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings to ensure the proper manufacturing process.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine performance, tooling, or programming during production. Responsible for Machines regular PM.
· Assist with the setup and calibration of CNC machines and ensure all machinery is running efficiently and accurately.
· Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth transitions from programming to actual production and resolve any on-the-floor issues as they arise.
· Monitor and maintain documentation for all CAM programs, tool setups, and machine configurations.
· Provide training and technical support to junior engineers and machine operators regarding CAM software, CNC programming, and best practices.
· Must be able to handle tools & consumables management system
· Work along with CAD engineer for design and manufacturing of jigs & fixtures
· Collaborate with the team to drive Kaizen initiatives and actively participate in 5S activities to promote continuous improvement and workplace organization
Qualifications : BE/B.Tech in Mechanical
Skills Required : Mastercam, SolidWorks, CNC Programming, Knowledge on machines
Experience Required : 03- 04 Years
CTC : 3.8 lakhs
