Role Description The Neonatologist will provide specialized medical care for newborns, including premature and critically ill infants, at the Ovum Hospitals facility in Hosur. This full-time, on-site role includes conducting neonatal assessments, managing care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), overseeing treatment plans, and coordinating with pediatricians, obstetricians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. The Neonatologist will monitor growth and development, address complex medical conditions, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include counseling and educating parents and families, contributing to clinical documentation, and supporting training activities for junior medical staff and nurses.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong clinical expertise in Neonatology and Medicine, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
- Candidates should possess skills in Newborn Care, including routine postnatal care and management of high-risk infants.
- Candidates should possess experience in Neonatal Intensive Care, including ventilatory support, infection management, and emergency interventions.
- Candidates should possess a sound foundation in Pediatrics to ensure coordinated care from birth through early childhood.
- MD/DNB in Pediatrics with a fellowship or specialization in Neonatology
- DrNB/DM in Neonatology - Freshers also welcome
- Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice in India, with prior experience in NICU or tertiary care settings preferred.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
- Willingness to work in a busy clinical environment, participate in on-call duties, and engage in continuous professional development.
