Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated L2 Zscaler DLP Engineer to provide operational support, administration, and troubleshooting for enterprise Zscaler Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and cloud security solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX), and Zscaler Client Connector, with a strong focus on incident resolution, DLP policy management, SSL inspection, and Zero Trust security operations.
As an L2 Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, implementing security policy changes, monitoring cloud security environments, supporting identity integrations, and collaborating with L3 engineering teams to maintain a secure and high-performing Zscaler infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
L2 Operations & Administration
- Provide Level 2 operational support for Zscaler cloud security environments.
- Administer and maintain ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, and Zscaler Client Connector.
- Configure, modify, and maintain DLP, web filtering, firewall, URL filtering, and application control policies.
- Implement and manage SSL inspection and SSL bypass rules.
- Configure traffic forwarding, bandwidth control, and internet access policies.
- Perform routine health checks and ensure service availability.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Manage and optimize Zscaler DLP policies to prevent data leakage.
- Configure DLP dictionaries, templates, and policy rules.
- Investigate DLP incidents and recommend remediation actions.
- Fine-tune DLP policies to minimize false positives while maintaining security compliance.
- Support data classification and sensitive information protection initiatives.
Zero Trust & Access Management
- Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) implementation using ZPA.
- Configure user- and group-based access policies.
- Publish and maintain private applications.
- Troubleshoot authentication, SSO, and authorization issues.
- Support secure remote user connectivity through Zscaler Client Connector.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve:
- Internet access issues
- Application access failures
- DLP policy violations
- SSL inspection issues
- Client Connector failures
- Proxy and PAC file issues
- DNS resolution problems
- Tunnel connectivity (GRE/IPSec) issues
- Analyze logs, packet captures, and traffic flows to identify root causes.
- Escalate complex issues to L3 engineering with detailed technical analysis.
Identity & Integration
- Support integrations with:
- Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
- Active Directory
- Okta
- SAML Identity Providers
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- SIEM platforms
- Configure SCIM provisioning and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Troubleshoot identity synchronization and authentication issues.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor Zscaler dashboards, security alerts, and DLP events.
- Review blocked traffic and threat intelligence reports.
- Analyze security logs and user activity.
- Integrate logs with SIEM solutions.
- Prepare operational, compliance, and security reports.
- Ensure adherence to organizational security standards and SLAs.

Required Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Network Security or Cloud Security.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies.
- Experience supporting ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, and Zscaler Client Connector.
- Hands-on experience managing Zscaler DLP policies and incident handling.
- Experience with SSL inspection, web filtering, proxy technologies, and Zero Trust security.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise networking and authentication technologies.
