Job details:
FOUNDING INDIE HACKER / AI PRODUCT BUILDER
📍 Mumbai | Full-time | In-person | Working from the founder’s home
💰 Up to ₹12 LPA, based on what you can actually build
⏳ Applications close: 10 September 2026
THE MISSION
Air Media is assembling a tiny, slightly crazy creative-tech lab in Mumbai.
We need one cracked, experimental and wildly ambitious indie hacker who can see something interesting on X in the morning and say:
“Wait. I think I can build that.”
Then actually build it.
Not next quarter. Not after 17 meetings. Ideally, this week.
You’ll work directly with me and a small founding team from my home in Mumbai. There will be cats.
This will not feel like a corporate office. There are no cubicles, layers of managers or 40-page SOPs. It will feel closer to a hacker house, creative laboratory or the opening chapter of a science-fiction story where a tiny team begins building strange things that eventually become very big things.
WHAT WE MIGHT BUILD
One week, we might create a system that generates beautiful websites for local businesses.
The next week, we might launch:
- A tiny mobile app
- A useful browser tool
- A weird micro-SaaS
- An automated YouTube media experiment
- A directory, data product or digital product
- An AI content factory
- A research or lead-generation machine
- A one-click tool for creators, artists or small businesses
- An internal agent that quietly does the work of five people
- Something we discovered on X three hours ago
- Something that currently sounds a little ridiculous—but might just work
Some experiments will make money. Some will attract users. Some will fail spectacularly.
That’s part of the game.
Your job is to help us move from:
IDEA → BUILD → LAUNCH → TEST → AUTOMATE, SCALE OR KILL
YOUR CHARACTER CLASS
You’re not just “a developer.”
You’re part engineer, part product thinker, part internet detective and part mad scientist.
You:
- Have built and shipped your own things
- Can work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and deployment
- Know how to turn a vague idea into a live product
- Use AI coding agents aggressively—but can still understand and debug what they produce
- Follow X, GitHub, Product Hunt, Reddit and the strange edges of the internet
- Care about users, distribution and money—not only clean code
- Can connect payments, authentication, analytics, APIs and automations
- Can look at repetitive work and immediately start designing a system to eliminate it
- Learn unfamiliar tools because the experiment demands it
- Are ambitious, resourceful, fast and a little crazy
- Would rather ship a rough but real experiment than make a perfect presentation about it
Your toolkit might include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub, Next.js, React, Python, Node.js, Supabase, Vercel, n8n, Make, browser automation, AI APIs and open-source models.
You do not need to know every tool.
You need to be the kind of person who figures things out.
BOSS BATTLE: THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE FOR YOU IF…
- You need detailed tickets before you can begin
- You only want to work on one tiny part of the stack
- You enjoy planning more than shipping
- You think deployment, analytics, distribution or monetisation are someone else’s job
- Everything you’ve built comes from a tutorial
- You can generate code with AI but cannot fix it when it breaks
- Changing experiments and priorities make you uncomfortable
- You want a polished corporate environment with established systems
- You are not comfortable working in person from the founder’s home
- You do not like cats
WHAT THE LAB ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE
This is a full-time, in-person role in Mumbai, working from my home alongside a very small founding team.
Expect music, cats, rapid experiments, long idea spirals, direct conversations, spontaneous prototypes and lots of “What if we tried this?”
There will still be agreed working hours, professional boundaries and clear ownership. But the atmosphere will be casual, creative and alive.
I’m hoping to build a team that becomes incredibly close—people who trust each other, challenge each other, grow together and hopefully become something like family while building things none of us could have built alone.
HOW YOU WIN
Nobody will care about how many lines of code you wrote.
We’ll care about:
- What you shipped
- How quickly you turned an idea into a real test
- Whether people used it, paid for it or taught us something useful
- Whether you knew when to improve an idea and when to kill it
- Whether you turned manual work into a functioning system
- Whether you brought ideas to the table instead of waiting for instructions
- Whether you made the entire team more capable

Mail airmediacreation@gmail.com with :
- Links to 2–5 things you have actually built and shipped
- What you personally built in each project
- One bold experiment you would launch with Air Media in your first seven days
- The tools and technical stack you currently use
- Your current location, notice period and salary expectation
- One recent product, GitHub repository or X post that made you want to immediately build something
Degrees, job titles and years of experience matter much less than proof that you can make things real.
We are not looking for someone who wants to become an indie hacker someday.
We’re looking for the person who is already building weird things at 2 AM—and now wants a laboratory, a budget and a team to build them with.
