Role Description
The Visiting Faculty – Principles of Management will deliver engaging, practice-oriented lectures and interactive sessions to postgraduate management students, ensuring alignment with Athena’s industry-driven curriculum. Responsibilities include designing and updating course content, preparing lesson plans, creating assignments and assessments, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The faculty member will mentor students, encourage critical thinking and leadership, and incorporate current management practices, case studies, and real-world examples into classroom teaching. The role also involves collaborating with permanent faculty, participating in academic discussions, and supporting academic events related to management education. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or higher (MBA/PhD) from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in Principles of Management or core management subjects at the postgraduate or undergraduate level.
- Relevant professional experience in corporate management, consulting, or leadership roles that can be translated into practical classroom insights.
- Ability to design contemporary curricula, develop case studies, and use diverse teaching methods such as discussions, projects, and experiential learning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom facilitation skills, with the ability to engage a diverse group of learners.
- Commitment to a learner-centered approach, mentorship, and ethical professional conduct in an academic setting.
- Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative academic environment in Mumbai, with flexibility to adapt to evolving institutional and industry needs.
